Today’s youth and adults alike are experiencing acute and chronic levels of stress. In 2024, stress was considered a major health concern in the United States and around the world, adding to a youth mental health crisis that began even before the covid-19 pandemic. With stress levels continuing to be a challenge for so many, learning strategies to optimize stress responses is critical to building resilience and enhancing your capacity to live, learn and perform at your best.
Regardless of age, learning how to stress better is a powerful tool for health and wellness.

Join BStrong Together and the Barrington Area Library as we welcome professional educator, mindfulness coordinator and creator of the Stress Better® Framework, Dr. Matt Dewar, EdD., to learn about the deep connection between our relationship with stress and its far-reaching effects on the quality and length of our lives. Dr. Dewar will share his evidence-based approach to building emotional resilience and offer practical strategies for self-awareness and self-care in this engaging and inspiring presentation perfect for tweens, teens and adults alike.
